I was commissioned by the former Sergio Vleté who was to start a new line of jeans "Sand". There was a big New York agency after this job but I beat them out not only on price but the fact that I could do all the work in house. I created the design and photography plus deliver all the digital work to the magazines. This is just one of the pages from the magazine publications, In which there were 12 in total in the US & South America. Click on the images below for a close-Up
view of the retouching. |

The header of Bizarre magazine was designed in illustrator to be super sharp, then a color gradient was applied, a drop shadow with bevel edges was also applied for the 3D result. (Illustrator is a vector graphics program for artwork were as photoshop is a bitmap graphics program for photographs) This assignment for Bizarre was a contract to design all the layouts and edit the magazine for 3 issues, it's a 114 page 4 color magazine. I also contributed photography inside & this exclusive cover shot of Julie Strain.
The Flash movie below demonstrates a very simple way to put the header behind the model's head on the cover of a magazine layout. Just cut the head out and make a new layer in Photoshp and then place it on top of the text or graphic layer. If you like to review this Flash movie again, please refresh this page. |

| I am shooting in the studio for a new book insert chapter "How to shoot ring light images" and we can only find a blonde wig that will work for the shot. But the Art director would prefer to see a dark hair wig on Lana. So I changed the color in Photoshop®. That's how we do it! "Tips & Tricks" |
